Randall Richardson

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Randy Richardson passed away August 26, 2023. Randy was a former Warren Police Officer for 23 years and the owner of Sluggers Sport Center on Marine City Hwy. Baseball was a passion of his. Randy and his wife Susie started this journey with Sluggers a few years back. Unfortunately, during this journey Susie lost her battle with a rare cancer last year. She sure was a fighter and Randy took amazing care of her during this time. Randy loved and cared for her like no other since they were teenagers in high school. It was an unconditional love that you just don't see anymore. Randy and Susie had three beautiful children together. Steven, Amanda, and Nathan. This is a very difficult time for them right now. Steven and his wife Bayle are expecting their first child together in October. Steven is an amazing father to Bayle's son as well. Amanda and Rob have two young daughters that are two years old and nine months. Nathan is only eighteen years old and just graduated from Dakota High School in June. This is absolutely devastating for the family. Just burying their mother, a little over a year ago. Now having to bury their father. They were both way to young. They were supposed to be enjoying their families expand and watching their grandchildren grow up. Randy is survived by his children Steven (Bayle), Amanda (Robert), and Nathan; his grandchildren Hunter, Laci, Susan, and Braxton expected in October; his mother-in-law Sandra Hertz; his father Ken Smith and his two siblings. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan and his two brothers. Randy’s family has started a GoFundMe to help with final expenses, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated. It is a lot to take in right now and a lot of things to sort out. Any donations that you could give would mean so much to Randy and Susie's children as they are dealing with this grief. Your kindness would really help to ease the finical burden funerals cause. This expense would also help to care for Nathan as well since he is so young.
