CrazyCrafter53, our beloved sister, sister-in-law, auntie, great-auntie and cousin Chris, was called home to be with the Lord Friday, January 19th. Although she had been battling some serious health issues for the past couple years, we did not see this coming. The Lord knows best of course, but, her sudden loss has left a huge hole in our hearts. She joins grandparents Joe and Agnes Tobin (her Godparents) and Charles and Hannah Warman, Mom Alma, Dad Don and several aunts and uncles. Survived by siblings Joe (Ann) and Laura, nieces Sarah (Erick) Trejo, Emilie (Joshua) Hensley and Abby Warman and great nieces Claire Hensley and Sofia Trejo, Uncle Phil Hawkins and 10 cousins. She also leaves several friends in Virginia where she lived and worked for 40+ years. A devout Catholic, she drove 30 miles round trip to attend weekly Mass for many years and more recently when she wasn’t able to attend physically, she started her days watching one on EWTN. She had a regular schedule of reading morning and evening prayers and reciting the Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet. Faith, family and crafting topped the list of her favorite things. She never missed a family event unless there were extenuating circumstances – and she always showed up with something personal she’d made herself. Afghans, scrapbooks, she had an amazing creative vision. We maintain she got ALL the craft genes and Mom said she didn’t get them from her. While crafting was her passion, football ranked 4th on the list – though she watched a few teams (yes the Lions were among them) – her loyalty for 50 years belonged to the 49ers. She also loved (LOVED) TV Westerns, Sci Fi, Tall Ships and Hot Air Balloons, not in any particular order. An avid reader from faith enriching texts to Clive Cussler – we’re sure she could have opened her own library. Her knowledge was vast and varied. She was one of a kind. We are heartbroken but our loss is heavens gain. Sis, pray for us as we do for you good and faithful servant. You’re little sis’ hero. In lieu of flowers, donations to Chris' longtime charity of choice, Catholic Extension (www.catholicextension.org) , would be appreciated.
