Darrel Ray Brady

Age 71. Darrel was freed from his earthly shell and went home in Glory on May 4, 2015 in Troy, Mi. Darrel was born in Piggott, AR to the late Elmer Brady and Florence (Goforth) Brady. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Wayne Brady and brother in law Ray Ervin. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda (Passman) Brady and his two children Jason Brady and Melissa (Domenic) Passalacqua. He is also survived by his siblings Larry (Jan) Brady, Linda (Charles) Stanfield and Larna Ervin. He graduated from Hazel Park High School and also received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Wayne State University. After graduating, Darrel transitioned from computer services into sales, which he loved. He worked at Western Union in telecommunication sales fro many years and also worked in real estate, mortgages and financial services. Darrel excelled in sales because he truly loved helping and spending time with people. Darrel was blessed to be raised in a loving Christian family and he diligently instilled those same values into his family. He was proud to be part of the "Brady Bunch". He found great joy in the Godly family his parents cultivated and his is a vital part of the Brady's legacy. Darrel believed the Church (especially the choir) was his extended family. Throughout his life singing in the choir was one of his greatest joys and he was blessed to be encouraged and challenged by incredible people, music and ministry. Darrel knew how to make someone feel special because he knew how to find something special in that person. Whenever he started talking to someone new, his desire was to learn something unique about them. He loved meeting new people and he was excellent at making someone feel welcome. If you knew Darrel Brady, it is highly likely you were a guest in his home on many occasions. He uniquely brought laughter into a room. He was known to be an instigator of mischief, yet still he found ways to share deep and meaningful spiritual truths to those around him. His family is incredibly grateful for everyone's prayers, support and love you all have shown in the time of grieving. A special thank you to Woodside Bible Church, the Woodside Choir and all those who blessed Darrel and his family in the past year.
