Linda Lee Palicke

Linda Lee Palicke, 81, passed away on October 12, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Walter and Lillian Jensen. Raised in Elgin, Illinois, Linda’s journey through life was marked by her devotion to God, family, and community. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Linda earned her degree in cytotechnology, a field where she applied her knowledge and skills with dedication. It was in Lansing, Michigan, where Linda met her late husband, Eugene, during a fateful blind date while he was studying veterinary medicine. Together, they built a loving family and shared a life rich with love and adventure. Linda was the proud mother of Michele Czarnota, Shawn Palicke, and Chad Palicke. Her nurturing spirit extended to her beloved grandchildren: Natalia, Everett, Mason, MaGuire, McKenzie, Liam, and Aubrey, and she was blessed to be the great-grandmother of Leonardo. Linda’s life was a testament to her deep faith and commitment to serving Jesus Christ and others. She worshipped at Faith Lutheran Church and participated in lifelong Bible studies, sharing her devotion with others. She was actively involved in Marriage Encounter, where she and Eugene served as a presenting couple. Linda was also involved with Stephens Ministries where she administered love and encouragement to those in need, sharing the love of God with each care receiver, and assisting those in need of support. Linda’s kindness and dedication were also evident in her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi, a women's sorority where she enjoyed many adventures and cherished lifelong friendships. Linda was known for her zest for life, always ready to share laughter and joy with those around her. Even after she became wheelchair-bound and resided in a nursing home, her resilience and perseverance were a source of inspiration to all. She continued to live her faith in God, supporting her roommates during their final days and showing unwavering strength with dear friends in tune with her celebrating special occasions. In life Linda’s heart was full. Linda was a warrior for God, and her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever be remembered. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
