Lorraine (Nee Chmura)

BOGUSZ (Nee Chmura) Lorraine Age 85, Daughter of deceased parents John and Elizabeth (Lewalski) Chmura, brother of Donald (Dolly) Chmura, and deceased brothers Edward Cloude and Kenneth, and wife for 64 years of the late Arthur, passed away on June 5, 2010. Lorraine was the loving mother of 5 children: Larry (Pat), Terry (Dolores), Elaine (Frank) Yager, Gary (Pam), Marlene (Dave) Ciuffoletti and 13 grandchildren: John, Jill Phillips, Aaron Ducat, Terry, Tom, Tim, Tami Leija, Tina Keen, Ryan Collins, Kelley Feldhake, Kaitlin, Randi Ciuffoletti, Michael Ciuffoletti and 17 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Nathan, Avery, Bryn, Reese, Andrew, Austin, Zachary, Zoey, Ezra, Alexandria, Gabriel, Gavin, Logan, Seth, Spencer, and Alyson. She was the dear friend of Mary (Bush) Haras for 70 years and the family's special babysitter, Barbara (Walters) Craig, cousin of Lesia (Bogusz) Babiarz, and adoring niece of the late Irene (Lewalski) Urbano. Lorraine worked a variety of jobs that included working as a bookkeeper, working in the war plants and as a storeowner of a delicatessen/bakery in the mid 1960s. She was a great cook and baker, an avid reader, and loved the Detroit Tigers. When it came to her family, she upheld the Polish-Catholic traditions, instilled the value of Catholic learning and a college education, and loved being surrounded by her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The picture the family has chosen to use in this notice is special. It is the picture that Arthur carried with him the ENTIRE time he served in WWII, it was ?his girl back home.? She loved to dance. Art and Lorraine could clear the dance floor at weddings. All who met her thought of her as sweet and she was enormously loved. She will be forever missed but we know Arthur has his girl back home with him again and the family cannot help but be grateful at this time for having had two outstanding and wonderful parents. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1 to 9 pm with a 7:00 pm Scripture service at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the E.J. Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. 3801 18 Mile Rd (N.W. Corner of 18 & Ryan) Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Cletus Catholic Church Mrs. Bogusz will lie instate at Church from 9:30 am until time of Mass
