Robert Likavec Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert L. Likavec, 77, passed away at home on June 23 surrounded by loving family. Beloved husband of Gloria. Honored father of late daughter Marlene, and sons Robert Jr., Brian, Jeffery and Jason. Huggable grandfather to Noah, Brooklyn, Jocelyn and Stacia. Dear brother of the late Paul, and Laverne and David, and special uncle to their children. Bob made countless friendships through his schooling in Michigan, army service, career at Chrysler, and, following retirement, his homes in Sterling Heights, MI and Port St. Lucie, FL. He had two passions - sports and dancing. He was nicknamed ?Pro? in school for his basketball skill, and in retirement played softball 4 days per week as long as he was able. When not on the ball field, he could be found on the dance floor with his wife, best friend and partner, Gloria, earning them the local nicknames ?Fred and Ginger.? Visitation is scheduled 2:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday, June 26 at E. J. Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, 3801 18 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48314, with rosary service at 6:00pm. Funeral service Monday at noon, instate at 11:00 am at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 41233 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48314. Donations may be sent to Hospice of Michigan.
