Larry C. Hendricks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry C Hendricks came into this world on August 15, 1942 in Matewan, West Virginia to the late Benjamin Hendricks and Mary Hendricks. He made his triumphant transition to glory on April 13, 2022 with his heart looking toward Heaven. Assuredly, the angels rejoiced at his arrival. Larry moved to Michigan met and married Sue (Francis) on May 28, 1966. Larry served 30 years as a Utility Inspector at General Motors where he was the Campus Chaplain while also receiving a calling to shepherd FWB Chapel as Pastor for over 30 years. He trusted God completely and listened daily for God’s instructions. He was selfless, lived to please God and tried to allow God to order his steps. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Larry when he was able to see individuals grow in their faith and continue on in discipleship. He loved many of the classic hymnals and could be heard shouting them from his pew (in tune or not). He had an uncanny ability to find happiness and purpose visiting anyone in the hospital or the housebound. You could count on a call if he hadn’t seen you in church on the previous Sunday. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. The way he was able to make anyone feel welcome and like family was anything but amazing. He was a great example of a man that followed God, and there is no doubt his legacy followed him to Heaven. He is survived by his loving and supporting wife of 55 years, his immediate family and extended church family who loved and adored him.
