Abdallah Ajine-Basil

Abdallah Ajine-Basil passed away peacefully in his Sterling Heights, Michigan home on September 13, 2026, with his wife, children, and brothers by his side. He was 69 years old. Beloved husband of 39 years to Rima Ajine-Basil. Devoted father of Amanda (John) Basil-Porter, and George (Courtney) Ajine-Basil. Adoring jiddo to Roman. Treasured son of the late Hanna and Asma Bassil. Revered brother of the late Jalilleh Nashef, the late Therese Jarjoura, Maroun Bassil, Antoine Bassil, and Elias Bassil. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, and dear cousin to many. Abdallah was born on January 9, 1957 in Darb es Sim, Lebanon and immigrated to Michigan in 1978. He exemplified how hard work, generosity, and kindness created fortune and happiness in life. Abdallah carried with him a kind and joyful spirit of generosity, deep care and love, he was always ready to laugh. His presence in any room elevated the energy in all who surrounded him and his genuine loving personality was always felt through his warm embrace and laughter. Abdallah was also known among his family, friends, and work colleagues as the one who could craft a solution to any problem. Retiring from Chrysler after 24 years, first as a Tool Maker and later progressed as a Tool Engineer, he was known to work hard and long hours to provide for his family. This ensured he could create fulfilling experiences through frequent family vacations that built lasting memories. He loved tending his garden, working on home projects, being near the lake, and always kept his beloved Lebanon close through music and stories. Abdallah demonstrated his love and values through meaningful time and acts of service. His best qualities will now live on through his family as he watches over them. May he rest in peace. Visitation will take place on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 3 PM - 8 PM (7 PM service) at Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. – 3801 18 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314. Church service will take place on Friday September 18, 2026 at 12:30 PM at St. Sharbel Church – 43888 Hayes Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
