Bonnie Dene Hertz (Richardson)

Bonnie Dene Hertz (Richardson), Age 58, passed away peacefully August 22, 2021. She was born on May 27, 1963. She was raised in the Irish Hills of Michigan by her mother Carolyn Ann Richardson and her father Robert Earl Gibson Richardson. Bonnie is survived by her son, Cory Jordan, daughter, Kellie Rotar (Michael) six beautiful grandchildren, Ava, Ellie, Camron, Jaxon, Emma, Riley, her father Robert Richardson, brother Robert Richardson Jr, and sister Kimberly Richardson. Bonnie was a free spirit who was always ready for an adventure! As a young lady she loved music. She loved live bands, going to concerts, and bonfires. Music was part of her soul through adulthood. Bonnie could light up a room just by walking in. She had the biggest heart and would help anyone. Bonnie and her big sister Cathy often found themselves traveling all over the U.S. at a young age, leading them to several states and many memorable adventures. Enjoying what life had to offer. Bonnie's free spirit just knew rules were meant to be broken. Bonnie moved to New York to attend college and pursued her career in administrative assistant, specializing in legal matters. She continued her career for many years. She continued to be a free spirit through out her life. In the 1980's, Bonnie's life temporarily slowed down while she anxiously waited for her favorite adventure to begin - Motherhood. In 1984, she gave birth to her baby boy, Cory. Five years later (1989), she completed her family with the birth of her baby girl, Kellie. Bonnie (and Bruce Hertz) raised Cory and Kellie in the Metro-Detroit area where they would grow up to bless her with six beautiful grandchildren that she loved with every inch of her soul. She was a lioness when it came to her kids and grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother and “Mimi” and did the best she could to give everything she could. After spending many years in the city, Bonnie was ready for a change. She yearned to get back to her roots of the country-life, so Bonnie packed up her BMW along with her two cats (Bella and Binx), put the Harley on the trailer and headed north. She proudly purchased her first home in Oscoda, Michigan where she was able to enjoy lake-views every day. She loved to take pictures of the wildlife and watch and listen to the birds sing. She enjoyed many summers with the kids, boating, riding the jet ski’s and just enjoying life. Bonnie spent years soaking up the lake-life in Oscoda before she took one last adventure to Charlotte, NC, where she was able to live closer to her only surviving sister (Kimmy). Sadly, this would be her last adventure. Now she is flying high with her Mother Carolyn, big sister Cathy, baby sister Cynthia, Mawmaw and Pawpaw. May your soul rest in peace our beautiful angel. God knows you will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
