Caterina Persechini

With profound sadness and deep love we announce the passing of Caterina Persechini on June 11, 2026 in her 86th year. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who’s kindness, strength, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Caterina was born on January 4th, 1940 to Saveria DiStefano and Gaetano DiCicco in St. Elia Fiumerapido, Italy. She carried with her the values of hard work and tradition throughout her life. In 1971, she courageously immigrated to the U.S. with her family on pursuit of new opportunities and a brighter future. Through determination and perseverance she built a life centered on love, dedication, and service to those around her. Caterina was known for her incredible work ethic and her unwavering commitment to her family. She took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home. Whether she was preparing a delicious meal in the kitchen, keeping her home immaculate, or caring for her loved ones, she did everything with care and devotion. Her cooking brought family and friends together and her recipes and traditions will continue to be cherished for generations. Caterina’s life was a beautiful example of selflessness, resilience, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and hard work that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Beloved wife to Andrea Persechini. Loving grandmother of Emanuela DiCicco, Michela DiCicco, Adriana DiCicco, Katrina (Kurt) Roberts, Melissa (Craig) Mazur, Veronica (Steve) Pirak, and Vanessa LaMarra. Dear great grandmother of Easton, Quinn, Blake, Julian, Olivia, and Hudson. Beloved sister to Cosima (Angelo) Cece, Guerino (Loreta) DiCicco, Giovanna (Angelo) Soave, Elia (Rosa) DiCicco, Luciano (Carolina) DiCicco, Maria (Guiseppe) DiCicco, Angeloantonia (Maria) DiCicco, Giovanni (Teresa) DiCicco, and Benedetto (Pasqua) DiCicco. Beloved sister in law to Giovanna (Ferdinando) DiMambro, Teresa (Sabatino) DiCicco, Giuseppe (Luigia) Persechini, Ferdinando Persechini, Giuseppa (Achille) Masiello, Angela (Antonio) Soave, and Andrea Persechini. She is preceded in death by Elia (Rosa) DiCicco, Luciano (Carolina) DiCicco, Maria (Giuseppe) DiCicco, Angeloantonio (Maria) DiCicco, Giovanni DiCicco, and Benedetto DiCicco. Caterina is beloved by many nieces and nephews. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace. A visitation will be held Monday, June 15th, 2026, at Mandziuk & Son Funeral Home from 3-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday June 16th, 2026, at 10 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church followed by a burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Family and friends are invited to attend.
