David J. Wolshon

David is survived by his wife of thirty years, Patty (Kozlow) Wolshon, sister Valerie (Andrew) Michrina, nephews Jeff (Kelli) Michrina and Matt Michrina and great-nephews Andrew and Alex Michrina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Monica Wolshon. David leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. We are grateful for each and every day we got to see his glowing smile, sparkling eyes, and his keen wisdom, clever sense of humor and for the lessons learned and all the jokes he shared. David was born in Detroit, MI and grew up in St. Clair Shores, MI. Following graduation from Notre Dame High School, he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Marketing and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University in Detroit. He was a member of business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. David was a life-long educator, culminating with 25 years of teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses at Baker College, Flint, MI. He was an avid sports fan, accomplished bowler and dedicated football handicapper. David aka also known by many as DW, Dubs, Doc, Professor and Sweet Dave (only to women as he would exclaim 😊) touched and enriched our lives in so many ways -this world was a better place by having David in it! David will forever live in our hearts and in our memories! David set an exemplary example as a husband, brother, uncle, friend, and professor. He was spiritually strong, compassionate and was a huge animal lover. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends. We will miss him more than words can express. We love you Big Guy! As David had said many times “I hope you remember me with a kind word and a smile”….well, we all will! It’s Not About Goodbye……..…It is about your Life Advice David…. and It's my hope, as your wife and best friend that this tribute along with the words of wisdom and cherished memories you provided during your lifetime will inspire and uplift our dear family and friends. Because what you have left behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what has been woven into the lives of others! Thank you for the 30 year magical ride…..I will love you always….Patty aka The German! Your memory is our keepsake. Be at Peace….Now go and be that amazing angel!
