Elizabeth Korgol

Elizabeth Wanda Korgol, age 55, of Warren, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024 after a long battle with liver and kidney disease. She was surrounded by her loving mama and 7 siblings holding hands connecting our family chain for one last time. Elizabeth (Liz) will carry that chain on until all our links are together again. Liz had an infectious energy and charismatic personality. To meet her was to love her. She was fiercely dedicated to her family. Made friends easily because she was so kind and generous. She had a witty sense of humor with an under tone of sarcasm. She was also a very passionate person who if she loved something be it people or animals she loved them unconditionally. Liz was an independent, assertive, aggressive person who sang loud, partied hard, and was often abrasive, sarcastic and in your face. That’s what we loved most about her. She had a passion for rescuing cats and kittens. For the past few years, she spent a great deal of time involved with cat rescue. If you were looking for a dog sitter, she was your gal, too. For years she volunteered a week of her summer at MDA Camp at Camp Cavell in Lexington, Michigan. Spending time with her nieces and nephews was a huge part of her life – taking them bowling, going to the movies or crafting. Need a poster for a party or event, Liz was your girl. Tie-dye? Bring it! She was a pro. Liz is survived by her mama, Lucyna, siblings Lilly (Cliff), Dorothy, Lucy (Rick), Loretta (Scott), Sophia (Kevin), Edward and Wanda. She was loving aunt to Lauren, Stephanie, Alexandra, Savanna, Ania, Owen, Kurtis, Nathaniel and Lyla and 4 great nieces and nephews Danny, Theo, Connor and Lena. She also leaves behind her beloved cat Otis. She was preceded in death by her father, Lech Korgol. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Liz’s life on Friday, November 8, 2024 between 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Mandziuk and Sons Funeral Home, 3801 18 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI.
