Ernest "Ernie" Wrobel

Ernest (Ernie) Francis Wrobel April 9,1928 to July 4, 2022 Ernest was born and raised Parisville Michigan by John and Albena (Rutkowski) Wrobel. He met the love of his life Mabel in January 1951. The day he met her he told a friend "I'm going to marry that girl." They were married on August 25th of that year. They moved to Warren and started their family. He was always proud of his family and home. Ernie was deeply religious and an active member of Saint Anne's Parish and the Knights of Columbus, until he was no longer physically able to. His faith in God, gave Ernie a clear path for his entire life. He believed strongly that you help anyone every time you get a chance. Ernie chose to never judge anyone, that was God's job. Ernie never met a stranger or lacked for a good story. He loved talking with people and learning about them. A short trip to a gas station could turn into an hour long trip if the clerk had time to chat. His favorite stories were about his childhood farm, his grandchildren, great grandchild or grand dogs. Ernie was a devoted Chrysler man, working for 42 years at the powerhouse on Outer Drive in Detroit. He retired in 1992 to spend more time with his loving wife traveling and exploring the world. Ernie could fix anything. Toys, cars, shoes... you name it...he could fix it. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. A six pack, a few friends, and a hammer and you would have an addition to your house. He was a devoted father to his seven children. He loved to tease his children, but worked hard to provide a good life for each of them. Ernie and his wife Mabel opened their hearts and home to anyone in need. Their bond with their nieces and nephews were strong and they considered many of them their "other children". They loved having children around and always had time to play with a baby. He is survived by his children Ronald and Linda Wrobel, David Wrobel, Timothy Wrobel, Randy and Deborah (Kengerski) Wrobel, John Wrobel, Colleen Goslow, Kathleen and Howard Erlich. His grandchildren Morgan and Yvonne , Dayna Jessica , Adam, Jennifer and Nicholas. His great grandchildren Will, Addy, Warner, Colton, Blake, Lillian, Cyle and Abigail. His brother-in-law and sister-in-laws Delores Wrobel, Dominic and Janet Krajniak Mary Goyette, Martina Flaga, Dorothy Krajniak, Hazel Krajniak, Pat Krajniak, Bonnie Krajniak. He is proceeded in death by his wife Mabel, his parents John and Albena (Rutkowski) Wrobel and his in-laws Frank and Clara (Woida) Krajniak. His son Donald Wrobel and his grandson Kurtis Wrobel. His siblings William & Virginia Wrobel, Kenneth Wrobel, Charlie & Francine Wrobel, Ralph & Angeline Wrobel, Eugene & Marie Kapala, Ray & Edna Szymanski, Ervin Krajniak, Norbie Krajniak, Gail & Chip Askinen, Isabelle & Tony Krajniak, Sam & Barbara Haggar, Valentine (Bill) Krajnaik, Clarence Krajniak, Bernadine Krajniak, and Lee Goyette.
