Psalm 13 …. Lance Michael Paul Mabee, 40, ran into the arms of the most merciful and most gracious God on Monday, May 11, 2026. Born on July 12, 1985, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Lance is the cherished son of Dennis and Rana Mabee. He was raised in the City of Detroit, Michigan, where he grew into a man defined by loyalty, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. A proud Marine veteran, Lance dedicated five years of honorable service to his country. His military journey took him to North Carolina, where he famously danced his way into the life of his soulmate, Sara. Together in marriage, Lance and Sara built a beautiful life and made a home for their daughter, Adalay Mabee, whom is the absolute greatest joy of their life. The family later relocated to O’Fallon, Illinois, where Lance became a well-known, deeply loved, and cherished member of his neighborhood, workplace, church community, and circle of friends. Lance’s love for God and spoken out loud prayers taught those around him about peace, grace, love, and forgiveness. Lance’s family was his world, always and in all ways. A devoted husband to Sara and an exceptional father to Adalay. He was a deeply loving, fun, and supportive uncle who adored his nieces and nephews, bringing immense joy and constant encouragement into their lives. He truly lived every day putting others before himself, offering his heart, strength, and presence without hesitation. Beyond his dedication to his loved ones and country, Lance lived life with a vibrant curiosity and an open mind. He was passionate about dancing, Pokémon, thrift shopping (treasuring), practicing Korean Sword Martial Arts, fishing, and enjoying poker nights with his friends. He loved volunteering at local events, helping neighbors, and experiencing new things whenever he could. Lance always listened with his heart, his generous spirit, warm laughter, and caring soul naturally turned friends into family. Lance was well accomplished with his dedication to supporting his family while working and completing his master’s program through American Military University with the Masters of Arts: Military Studies. Another achievement of Lance’s was being recognized by Army General Stephen R Lyons of U.S. Transportation Command commander for his contributions to SDDC’s Mission to deploy and sustain the Armed Forces to deliver lethality for our country with the programs development. Lance’s legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and quiet heroism. Both as a Marine— husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His memory will live on eternally in every life he touched. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Mabee; his beautiful daughter, Adalay Mabee; his parents, Dennis and Rana Mabee; his siblings, Reynold Mabee and Al Mabee (Sarah); his adopted brother, Adel Eddie Mabee Alasad (Tunis); and his many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
