Ladies and gentlemen, family, and friends, today, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Robert Rosenkranz—whom we all knew as Bob. Words can never fully express the depth of what Bob meant to us, but through the stories and memories we share today, we can begin to capture the essence of his life and the love he brought into this world. Bob lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication. For 25 years, he worked as a tool and die maker at Chrysler, a job he took great pride in. But it wasn’t just his work that defined him; it was his passion for living life to the fullest. He and his beloved wife, Esther—whom he affectionately called "Little Red"—shared a love for travel that took them to places like Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Japan, and Hawaii. Their journeys together were more than just vacations; they were an extension of the deep bond they shared. Bob and Esther’s love wasn’t just evident in their travels but also in the simple joys they shared. They were both passionate about bowling, and together, they spent many enjoyable hours on the lanes, a shared hobby that strengthened their connection and brought them so much joy. Bob would often call her "Little Red," and she, in turn, would call him “Bo.” Their endearing names for one another were a reflection of the closeness and affection they held. At home, Bob found comfort in the familiar routine of his mornings, which always started with his favorite breakfast—boiled eggs and toast. This simple meal was part of the quiet peace he found in his daily life. A man of routine and simplicity, Bob was also a man of strong passions. He had an undying love for Westerns, and his admiration for John Wayne was well-known to all. His TV was never without a Western playing, and those films, full of courage and grit, mirrored the qualities Bob held dear in his own life. Bob loved going to the Casino in Las Vegas with his “Little Red”. They enjoyed playing the slot machines and the Las Vegas strip. He was a proud grandfather, always cheering on his grandson at soccer, baseball, and football games, never missing a chance to watch him grow and succeed. Among the greatest joys of Bob’s life was his daughter, Sandra. Though she was not his by birth, he took her in as his own with a love that knew no bounds. From the moment she became part of his life, he cherished her as his daughter, and she, in turn, loved him deeply. Sandra was his greatest supporter and caretaker, ensuring that he was always cared for, loved, and never alone. Their bond was one of unconditional love, built on years of shared moments, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was his rock, just as he had been hers, and the love they shared was a testament to the true meaning of family. As the family grew, Bob’s love expanded with it. He had a special place in his heart for his great-granddaughters, Faith and Luna. The joy he felt when he was with them was unmistakable, and they brought a light into his life that filled him with pride and happiness. Robert’s unwavering dedication to his faith was evident in every aspect of his life. As a devoted parishioner of the Catholic faith he served in various capacities, among his favorite was being an usher at SS Cyril and Methodius Slovak Catholic Church. May he dwell in the house of the Lord, forever. Bob was more than a husband, father, and grandfather; he was the backbone of his family, a source of strength, love, and wisdom. His devotion to his loved ones was evident in everything he did, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for those he cherished most. Bob leaves behind his cherished daughter, Sandra Sweppy; dear grandson Michael Robert Sweppy, granddaughter in law Zahraa Sweppy; and cherished great-granddaughters Faith and Luna Sweppy. As we remember Bob today, let us take comfort in the love he gave us, the memories he created, and the joy he brought into our lives. His love for life, his family, and the simple pleasures will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Bob. You will be deeply missed, but your memory and the love you shared with all of us will live on in our hearts forever. We love you, and we will carry you with us always.
